Destroyed my stock LS block
I ran a 12.05 @ 115 W/11lbs. and 50 shot of nitrous. then I tryed to turn it up to get around a 11.7 but here is the aftermath of that pass. We have been 11.4 @128 with a stock LS motor but something wasnt working right with this tune up.
Here is a pic of the car. I was running 24.5" slicks on the passes

The piston that you see in the left cylinder is just the top of the piston. Below it is no evidence of a rod.

I only read the stock block and 11lbs and wondered what went wrong then I read the 50 shot on top. Gotta kind of expect it then. Sorry to hear about it though..
I used a FJO wideband and street tuned. I have also ran 11.1 @ 129 with out vtec activating on a b17 in a different car with different set up. Yes I was suprised to see the motor die so soon. I have been much faster with other ls's and they would last for seasons at a time not just glory passes. I didnt just run 11.5 with one stock Ls motor.

let me take a wild guess....judging by the size of that turbo....when you turned up the boost...your charge temp went up....increased air temp = boom....heck im bored....maybe you forgot to retard the timing more when you turned up the boost? what kinda management u running?
I had the rev limiter set at 7700 rpm. I am running 720cc injectors, zdyne gold. I was pulling .75 degrees of timing per pound starting at 5 pounds. We got the car going again but I will keep the rev limiter to around 7200 rpm. I was running 7700 rpm because I had good size all motor crane cams and JG intake manifold so it was making all of its power on the top end. the tires in the pic are 225-50-15 BFG drag radials. I was cutting 1.84 60fts. It has an open diff, and stock struts and stock springs on the front, skunk 2 street struts on the rear. Just dumping to clutch on the spray at about 6500 rpm. Not the best way to do it but I was satisfied since it was opening day at the track.

He still has the car. It is now white. You wouldnt recognize it from the transformation it has been through. He was running a stock Ls.
