Default CRX steering shaking w or without braking

The front end of my crx shimmy's side to side and seems worse around 20-45mph than on the freeway. When braking the shimmy is at it's worst. Wheels are balanced so that's not it and I don't think it's the brakes either. I checked for excessive play but there isn't anything obvious. I checked underneath and found:

Passenger side:
torn steering rack boot
broken lower ball joint boot by the knuckle

Driver side:
torn outer tie rod boot on joint
torn axle boot

I also get a clunking noise seemingly coming from the right/front when making LEFT turns. Upper joints seem fine and the bushings look okay. I didn't get to inspect the inner tie rods though. Is there anything else I should look at?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

replacing any torn or damaged tierod boots and ball joints (upper and lower) may help. your alignment may be off too.

I had personal experience withy my CRX shaking, particulary noticed in at the sterring wheel. Replaced my upper and lower ball joints, put in new tie rods, and had it aligned, now its smooth as new.

good luck

(clunking noise is probably a bad cv joint)
