Motec M4
You wont find a lot of people who run Motec in the N/A forums.
You would probably get more responses in the FI forum.
The majority of us N/A folk who run an EMS run the AEM.
As for your question, I believe the resolution with the fuel and ignition maps between an EMS and piggyback are pretty similar, especially comparing programs like Hondata/Uberdata/Crome to AEM. So would you see any power gains from fuel/ignition tuning?...probably not. If you were tuning ONLY fuel/ignition, there would be no power difference that I can see.
The best thing about an EMS is that every aspect of the motor can be programmed. If you want to run a digital ignition, or tune VS T.P.S. (if you have ITB's), or if you want your radio to turn on at 9000rpms, you can do that with an EMS.

M4 versus Hondata, not to be a dick or anything but how did you come to those options? They're at opposite ends of the EMS spectrum both price wise and in precision. Yes, Motec is more precise but will you see gains on an NA setup with it over Hondata, I doubt it... In the FI world people have taken Hondata pretty far power wise so you shouldn't have any problems (Cort, uglyasscivic is making ~800whp in his SFWD/T4 EH2 on it). If you're not worried about the cost, Motec is my number one choice anyday. I know you wouldn't be interested in all the advanced tuning features turbo cars run but I'm actually setting up an M4 system on my friend Will's (WillieWillieFast) SFWD Rex right now and I'll tell you it does get a bit spendy. Again money may not be an issue for you so it might not matter but his Honda M4 kit setup ran ~$4500. That includes the advanced tuning options which you probably won't need on an NA setup (antilag, traction control, etc.), unlimited datalogging, and the lambda option. That being said, Hondata runs a few hundred dollars... It's up to you!
