Louder ticking after adjusting the valves WTF
I just adjusted my valves and I think I messed up ...
I followed the how to on c-speedracing.com website. I had no problems with the directions.
I followed them excatly. I did notice when doing the valve adjustment that most of the valves were off bad.
Most of them were so tight that I couldn't pass the feeler gauge thur. Then there was some that were super loose ... Only two valves were ok and didn't need adjustment.
Now my car had a pretty good tick. Bad enough to hear at idle when the car was fully warmed up.
Now my car sounds even louder than before the adjustments. I just can't understand what could have went wrong. I am able to read the directions just fine. Really this job is not that hard just takes a little time. I took my time and double checked everthing. All the valves followed the specs on the site. I double checked that. I made sure all the nuts were tight.
What could I have done?
Oh yea .. The car is running better. Sounds good when switching to vtec.. Car seems to run better than before.
Do I need to adjust them tighter.? I mean I am following what is supposed to be spec
"exhaust valves. Using the 0.007" "intake valves Using the 0.006"
What causes the valves to tick? ... Because, like I said when I was adjusting the valves most of them were tight as hell .... http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...t.php

were you rotating the motor correctly for each cylinder, when you were tightening the nuts did you make sure the screw wasn't moving out of spec.
