well i got a 91 honda accord wagon that my parents have had forever and it was my first car basically, anyways the wagon just hit 255k on the stock motor (f22) i think its what there called, anyways this motor has to be the one of the best built honda motors hands down.............. i use the car to go on surf trips and when no one else wnats to drive its the car we take
the car has had the alternator, starter, air filter, plugs and battery replaced and has been thru 1 theft...........( joy ride) nothing was taken out of it and it was parked and locked and everything lol thank u thiefs for taking care of teh wagon........ anyhow the car is breaking down before the motor i have gone thru 2 door locks passenger and driver and everything else in the car and hte motor just keeps on pulling its like the train that could
well my goal is to hit like 300k on the stock tranny and motor and i hope it will make it.............. whats the highest mileage on ur accords?

About to turn 364k on mine, original motor and tranny and everything, neither ever rebuilt. Still runs, drives, and pulls like the day it was born, and still just as reliable as it ever was. Runs so smooth and quiet you barely know it's running even at idle. Getting 28 mpg in town, 33 on the highway. Everything on the car works perfectly... all windows, sunroof, a/c, cruise and even the power antenna. Body is showing it's age, interior is near mint, and the drivetrain absolutely bulletproof. Hondas are the BEST!
I bought a 87 accord for $500, had 310xxx miles on it. Was told that the car was submerged completely underwater so some of the electrical went out like the moonroof. 1st week battery/alternator went out. I thought oh man its a beater. After that the I went 1 year and many camping trips I sold the car to my brother for $500. He says this is the best money he ever spent. The car is up past 350k and still runs GREAT!!!
Yeah I had one with over 300k too. I think the 3rd gen 86-89 was probably the best longevity wise. I hear the most high mile stories from them.
Its funny because I don't see any same era Ford Taurus around and they were the #1 car for a while.
Anyone notice those Lincoln's with the spare tire sticking out in the trunk that look so ugly from the 80s, all those cars are sunk to the ground with bad shocks.

Oh I will hit the 300k mark for sure. My interior is in mint condition, and my exterior is starting to show a little wear, but I couldn't ask for much more.
