Default Grinding gears

I bought my car back in july (GSR 2001) and this is when i first learned how to drive a stick. So I started to grind gears in august and sept badly at low rpms so I brought it in and they said its fine but eversince I brought it in September Ive been grinding gears each month about a couple times. And today I noticeed when I was in first gear driving over my school speed bumps today is that when i went to hit the gas it was stuttering (as in hitting the gas and then the car would shake then it would move). what do i do?Is my car a lemon?

my car does the same thing when going slow, i think its when the car is going slower than idle speed and if you give it gas it stutters a bit. my car is older but i wouln't worry about it, grinding gears is usually due to not having the clutch down all the way, also check your oil.

from my understanding the engine oil helps lube the tranny, i had to change out a tranny seal once cause i was leaking engine oil, so I put 2 and 2 together?

yea if ure going slow (like over speed bumps) in first gear, the gas pedal is very sensitive. happens to me sometimes when i get careless. solution: be ez on the gas pedeall or just use the clutch. As for grinding gears, like matt said, its proly cuz the clutch isnt all the way in or youdont put it in gear all the way. I dont think its a lemon, just take your time and give it a little extra thought and practice.

I agree with Money...I have a GSR 01 and I have been driving stick since I was around 14 and with my GSR I stall every once and a while with it at low revs, just get use to the car, and then you will be straight...peace

Hey Money where you located at in richmond?
