i just put in a new ignitor on my b16 cuz the tach started jumping a couple days ago but after putting in the new ignitor the car wont start.....it cranks but seems as though theres no spark...could it be the coil?...any help appreciated...thanks guys

Mabey the "new " ignitor is bad too.

 

no!!!!!....i paid 100bucks for it......stupid honda

 

big pete make sure the two connectors on the distributor is snap in tight. sometimes loose connector can cause the car not to start but crank. when i replaced my ignitor a few years back on my dx. i had the same problem with yours. i took the 2 connectors out from each other and re-snap it in there by hearing the snap sound. hope this helps. good luck

hey bro...how about this have you tried testing your coil??what ignitor are you using and where did you buy it??just curious. have you tried checking if your getting any sparks from the spark plug wire??if so what color??

 

i havent tested my coil yet......im gunna put a working one in tomorrow...as for the ignitor i got it from honda...i got the ignitor for a 91si and im pretty sure my spark plug wires are working...i got less than 10k on the wires(magnecore)

damn!! im gunna burn my f*@king car!!.... crap nuts!!.....i changed the coil and it still doesnt start......the first time i cranked it i heard a loud pop from my exhaust...but after the first time nothing.....does anyone have any ideas of what it could be??
