buying new car.pics of prospect.help.
here is some pics of a car i went and looked at tonight.
1994 civic lx
183k,5 sp.power w/L,cruise
Overall im pleased with the car. the interior is MINT, i mean clean as ****.enough talk,on with the pics.
what im most concerned with.this rust would have to be fixed now. i have extra money after i buy the car to get it fixed, but i dont know how much its going to cost.
also, looks like a leaky head gasket.ill have to replace that with a metal unit and a vtec head
other than that, the car is nice.the seller wants $2200.the blue book is $1995 in fair condition.Oh, also the front brakes need replacing.Im going to offer him $1400 and work from there.tell me what you think
btw, this is going to be my daily driver.so this can stay in the garage

Honda does not offer just the dog leg as a part, so if you wanted the rust spots fixed correctly both quarter pannels would have to be replaced. The quarter pannels are cheap but the labor $ucks. If its for a daily beater its just not worth it. Your project car rocks!

seriously, i would laugh and probably not talk to you again if you offered $1,400. but its up to you.
as for the car looks pretty good. talk to a body shop and get a rough estimate on how much they would charge to has the rust cut out and welded up.

i dont think im out of line for starting the bidding at $1400. id be happy to walk away with the car for under $1900.As far as the rust is concerned,im going to find a donor car at the yard and cut the metal out and take it to a shop and have them do there thing.i got $3000 to work with and some fat fives and some **** sittin in the garage,so she would be a respectable daily driver.

It's a rust bucket. It's leaking at the head. It needs brakes replaced. $1400 seems like a very appropriete number to start at for negotiating on a car like that.

lol i'd say 1400 is too HIGH. i just picked up a 4 door, making a it kind of a race car, kinda DD, for $100 with no rust, just rear 1/4 damage, and it's not even that bad, of coarse mine is a shell and needs tons of work, i think it will go togetehr for under 1400 for sure.
P.S. poor ej1
