TIPS ON PAINTING ValveCover PLEASE!!
i am tryig to cover up with letters with vasoline but its a pain in the ***.. what did you guys do? i though i got it then started painting then it started crasking at places w/ the vasoline on it
if you are trying to leave the letters in 'metal' color. paint it all then sand the metal. thats how we did it.
edit: by metal I meant letters.

When I did mine, I used q-tips to apply the vasoline over the lettering, use a generous amount, and once the paint is dry, it will come right of the letters, then use razor blade or sand paper to clean up and shine the lettering
I used chapstick, easier to apply to the letters, then pick the paint off the letter when its all done, hes my friends.

Valve cover is VHT crinkle paint, strut bar is OEM CTR.
