Default H22 head build question (JUN)

I have a jdm h22a that I am in the process of building. I am thinking of sending the head off to jg to have the combustion chambers welded and then ported and flow bench tested to match my setup.

I have a question about this though. Will this small bump from welding the chambers with the stock jdm 10.6:1 pistons be enough to see good gains from the jun cams? Or do they really need higher compression than i can get from welding the chambers?

I have too many biased views around me, including my own and I need some outsiders' opinions. Any suggestions are appreciated.

While you have the head out getting the other work done. If your not going to sleeve why not atleast upgrade to type-S pistons which will work better with the JUN cams.

Well that is an option but I'm tryin to figure out from somebody who had it (welded combustion chambers) done that can tell me how much it bumped their compression cuz if it bumps it like a point or more that'll put me basically at 12:1, allowing me to keep the stock pistons and run high compression.

If your going to raise your compression do it the correct way (pistons)
