i was just wondering if anyone has put an h22 head on a jdm f22b. i know people put h22 heads on h23 and h23 and f22b are very similar, any numbers would be helpful

The JDM F22B Shortblock is nearly identical to other F22 blocks but with higher compression pistons... SO the 38 page hybrid thread is the best source of build info on the DOHC VTEC F22 hybrid.

i thought the dohc f22b head was almost exactly the same as h23. would he want to look at the h23 vtec thread then?

 

The head is almost exactly like a H23A1's the block is like an F22:




Given the oil drains of the block I think that the DOHC VTEC F22 hybrid thread is better.

And why the HELL did you make this thread a poll???

 

that f22 block looks i dentical to the usdm f22bx and f22ax

the f22b oil drain porst have the same characteristics as the usdm f22's

the f22b head is assentialy a h23 head with a f22 botto0m to match to the f22 bore and block

 

i see, never looked into the f22b much. guess that why the f/h23 is so easy
