well it all started with me swapping doors because of an accident. I had to put my old door handle in the new door, then hook it all up. Once done the exterior door lock would unlock, but not lock. Then yesterday it decides to retire from duty and stops working all together (no reason). Today i decided to swap the old lock mechanism out for the non-working one. After about an hour of work i get all satisfied, then test it out, only to find the same problem. I tried adjusting the handle rod, and sliding the inside handle back and forth, nothing is having any affect on it. I also tried WD-40 and chain lube. ITS NOT WORKING!!!!!!11!!111one

Anyone delt with this problem before??

 

i had one of those 20 dollar shiny keys i got from my birthday, it never worked very good and i guess i just was messing the lock up. The two dollar spare worked fine.
