Default Keyless entry / dome light question.

To everyone with keyless entry on their 96-00's... I'm hoping someone may have noticed this before and it's not just me. At night, when I click the unlock button on the remote, the car unlocks and the dome light turns on inside the car. It seems to illuminate normally until I open the door. As soon as I open the door, it dims about 50% like somehow it's lost power or something. If anyone has seen this on thier cars LMK because if I have a problem, I want to track it down.

It's not really that big of a problem, just when I get into the car, the light stays dim and it makes things hard to see. It would be so much better if it stayed bright like it is when I press unlock before I open the door.
