Default obd 99 gsr confirmation

Im putting a 99 gsr swap in a 96 coupe. Both USDM. I assumed the motor is OBD2B and the car is OBD2A. But i have been told the motor is OBD2A aswell (look in my created topics). I need confirmation on this before i buy a harness or ecu. Thank you.

keep in mind you can't run the obd2b gsr ecu as it has an immobilizer. An obd2a ecu or obd1 with a conversion harness would work.

thanks for the post. but still dosent answer the question. ignor that i have like no posts, ive been into hondas for years and always thought
96-98 = obd2a
99 + = obd2b
i know thats true for civics but what about tegs(US)? search my created topics and you'll see 2 guys that say 99 tegs are obd2A and 00s are obd2B. nobody that read the posts disagrees with them. theres gotta be someone with more knowledge whod argue or agree.

1999 Integra's are OBD2A for sure, they changed to OBD2B in 00-01. If you need reassurance, go to Hondata's website.
