Changing rear engine bracket while motor still in car?
Can the rear engine bracket be changed out with the motor in the car? Reason being someone I knew did a swap and completely forgot to put the rear bracket in. Can it still be manuevered in or does the motor need to be removed?

Ooh that sucks man. Umm.......well the motor needs to come out. Honestly, that's gonna be the easiest way on that rear bracket. Now if it were the side mounts, then you could replace them with the motor in, but that rear mount is a PITA. I'm gonna say no.

Re: (FerioVtec94)
Do not pull the swap. If you would like to make it easy just unbolt the torque mounts up front from the frame rail. Grab the intake manifold, tilt the motor forward and install the rear mount.

LOL.. how the **** do you do this?
when using a cherry picker, it's wise to put the bolt through the rear bracket FIRST. i don't know.. maybe it's just me. i just CAN'T see how someone could miss that step of the process.
anyway, i would think it can be done, but you'll have to loosen the other mounts and remove the upper trans mount, then pull the engine up slightly with a cherry picker. good luck.
