talk about tq., but in a rex, i would go for the high revving C1, the supercharger and all that with the H series is too much. and the mounts for the B series are proven and made, while the H series is a lot more custom. but it matters what you are going for. if you want tq. out the wazzoo then go with the H, want a high revving fun motor in the rex, B18c1 is the way to go
cliff notes: H22, heavy and tq., a lot of it but $$$ for custom mounts
B18C1 Lighter, more revs, already made mount kits

Get what you can afford. H22 will be more of a headache. Not that a B series doesn't come with headaches of it's own. How much money you have?

H22A = cheaper motor with more HP and torque, but a nightmare to install.
B18C1 = more expensive with less HP and torque, but easy to install.
The difficulty of the install is REALLY what keeps ED/EF people from swapping H22As. Otherwise, ALOT more people would do it.

look up the H22-b-series addapter. If you can buy that kit the H22 will install with B series mounts, and a B series tranny. best of two worlds IMO

enjo sells motor mounts for h22 in a crx ,but i think you should get a clip if anything with the motor in it ,you'll have everything right there to swap out, best bet is to get a b16 clip for that price and just turbo the motor or internals

the two guys on this thread who have H22s in their CRXs had no problems with steering or anything. Most people who do these mods to this extent will have the car on sports springs or something to stiffen up the body.
So it doesn't effect its daily drivability

who cares about daily driving i was talkin about how heavy the front end will be and how it will corner like a piece of ****, the reason i like crxs so much is how they remind me of go-karts it wont feel like a go-kart with that big *** thing in it

i understand but if the B series tranny is used it weighs something like 27 pounds heavier than a GSR
so you'd still have to go-kart feel us CRX lovers enjoy.
But then again its not for me. I'm sticking with my ZC

guess nobody saw the Hasport's CRX H-series mounts at the Full-Race open house. that h22 looked mighty comfy in the rex and had LOTS of room for the FI guys...
personally i have a biased opinion on this subject. B18C1 rocks like no other!!!! check the sig lol
how do you plan on distributing the cash you have for this car? if you have plenty to spend on extras AFTER you buy the motor than go ahead.
