Just Bought an '89 Accord, What Should I Know?
I am the proud owner of a 1989 Honda Accord DX 4-Door. This is my first Honda and is refreshing after years of driving a '96 Mercury Mystique with constant problems. Never. American. Again.
Anyway, I'd just like to know if you guys can give me a heads up on common problems, what to watch out for, tips for smooth running/performance options, etc. for this model. Here's a quick lowdown on my specific car:
-212,000 miles
-Gets about 27-30mpg right now
-New Alternator
-Tires, Belts, Muffler all replaced last year.
-Sky Blue w/ Dark Blue Interior
-Pop-up Headlights!
Any tips/suggestions would be nice. So far I like it a lot. Hoping maybe there's something I can do to get some more vroom out of it. Perhaps the spark plugs just need replacing. Thanks!
