17 inch rims on an integra
i want to put some 17s on my integra but the tires on the rims dont fit(they rub when u turn the car) what size tire would i need? or should i just goto a 16?
the rims are 17/4x100/114.3 and +40 with 50 series tires.

If you are asking what size tire for a 17" rim, which is what I think your asking from that mix of words. The most popular size for our cars would be 205/40/17.
A 50 series is not the right size for sure.

114.3 is used the lug pattern that Accords and Preludes use. Civics and Integras use 100.
On my car I have 205/40/17 which is the recommended tire size for 17 inch rims on Integras and I think Civics as well. Your speedo will stay in sync.

edit:
just noticed how old this thread is, sorry for bring back from the dead...
205/40-17 is the best size. i have seen 215 used w/o problems since it is just slightly wider and about same height as stock sized 195/55
typical offset and widths for these rims are 17x7 or 17x7.5 w/ a 38-45 OFFSET
