I am doing a swap pretty soon. I have a 92 civic SI HB and i got me a K20A2. i would liek to knwo if anyone has been able to keep the power steering and how ??? pls helpl..... also how do i become a regular member.. i have had an accound fro a year and i am still a restricted user.

Hey are you swapping DC5 R in it? That would be hot. I thought about it too but my dealer quoted about $7000-7500 w/ installation so I think I'm just gonna slap a turbo on. I dunno yet. Let me know if your swap is any cheaper.

 

well so far i have spent 3200 on a 9k miles engine , ecu, wiring harness, shifter box + cables and the primary O2 sensor( get this it's like $259 for this sensor alone), and 1 exle... IF ANYONE HAS A RIGHT (BASE, STICKSHIFT RSX) EXLE , PLS PM ME!!!!. I could nt let this engine go so i drove from Maryland to Indiana to pick it up. By the way it's a RSX Type S engine, if I go with Toda cams and valvetrain i can easily be at 240 hp.

 

1) Wouldnt it make more sense to post in the EG forum. Just because its an RSX engine doesnt mean these guys all know how to swap it in a hatch.

2) Apparently it doesnt clear because of the hood. Unless you feel like modifying your hood theres not much you can do. Then again theres not enough guys running this swap to get alternatives to the issue. HASport and some other people were constructing some stuff to help clear the issue but I dont think its available yet.
