Default lowered rsx problems help asap

my friend and i recently lower his 02 base rsx, but every time he comes to a bump in the road it seems like it bottoming out any ideas how to fix this?

did you cut the bump stops? what did you drop it with?

check to see if the big nut on top of the strut is lose. mine came lose a few days after i lowered my rsx.

instructions should tell you everything. how much to cut bumpstops, and torque value of nuts n what not

has about half an inch gap between the fender and the tire he on 17's lowered with ground controls

Your last comment doesnt help too much. It sounds like 1.7 drop ATLEAST. If your gap is only 1/2 inch then its prolly a bit more. It sounds like its your bump stops.

I only cut my rear bump stops. The front i didnt because the bumpstop is a whole boot that fits over the top of the strut. If i cut i would lose the whole boot. So with a 1.7 drop in the front i bottom out only on bigger bumps when im goin like 50mph or over.

Not to jack but anyone have info on that front bumpstop boot and how to cut it?

i heard from a friend that the ground controls were junk for the rsx, he had similar problems and many others out of those
