New Problem--engine still revs at 2000 rpms when I press in the clutch pedal.
Im guessing this is just another sign telling me my clutch is ready to take a dump. Its awful. Anyways..this is whats happening. When im in bumper to bumper traffic, and I speed up and then slow down...I'll press in the clutch pedal getting ready to stop, but my rpms stay at 2000 rpms...it seems like the clutch is still spinning or something...after about 15 secs or so it will drop down to 800 rpms and idle....then as soon as i start again and then press the clutch pedal in again...the same thing happens...
crazy.
crazy.
Sounds like either:
throttle linkage
Sensor/ECU problems to me.
Clutch shouldn't have that effect. Try putting it in neutral without the clutch engaged when stopping next time. Chances are the same thing will happen.
My R has similar characteristics and only 10k on the car. My GSR did the same thing....not quite 2k but above 1k then it would settle.
Good luck

my car did that when I didn't have the throttle wire adjusted correctly. Also you might wanna see if the throttle position sensor is all ok.
