Default Painting rotor hubs...?

GOT IT!!! THANKS!!!

Yea! I got new brembo rotors and since they are new, I want to keep them looking great so I was going to paint the hubs black or silver.

Anyways, just had a quick Q. Can I paint the entire hub area, inclucing the face, the part the wheel mounts against? Like the rotora one below in black. Or is it like a special coating?

Do I just paint the part that can be seen? Like below. Hmm maybe it doesn't matter..just don't wanna f-em up.

if they are new, then why would you already want to paint them....to make them look new?? *confused*

ha ha ha...no they rust so damn fast that it occured in transit..

for real after the first rain or 1 carwash they rust...so i was trying to solve that proble, by painting them before i but them on even though they are new....i just wanted to make sure it was OK to paint the hub face or if that would cause problems

thanks for the help

if u paint the whole rotor then the pad will wear off the paint that hits the pad in like 15 seconds and it looks good

yes you can paint them. just be sure that you use high heat paint, so it won't burn off...

here are my rear rotors...

did you spray your calipers or did you get one of those kits that has a brush? Are those SSRs? If so you have a shot of them on the car? I have SSRs too and I was thinking bought powder coating them gold too.

Did you spray the whole thing or did you tape off contact areas?

yeah i taped off the contact area. i just oversprayed a little, and then let the brake pads eat it away.

the wheels are ssr fakes, ssp's. they are some spare wheels i picked up for track usage. they will be painted candy blue in a bit.

here is a picture of them on my car..

I think when it's time to get new rotors from brembo, I am just going to pray a high temp clear on that area.
