Default couple of b16 fuel questions...

if i am going to go with a t3/t4 setup on my b16 only running about 8-10 psi what injector size would you reccomend? i would think around 310 or 360 at most right?

also what lph fuel pump? would 190 be enough to support ~230 hp?

and lastly a b16a2 fuel rail will bolt the the a1 manifold correct?

btw my car:
b16
aem cai
ctr crank pulley
aebs intake manifold
hondata manifold gasket

Get dsm 450 injectors..Cheap as hell and you'll have low duty cycle and room for improvement
Stock fuel pump can support 230hp..but 190lph would give you room for improvement and comfort..
And the b16a2 fuel rail will work..**** you need a 94+ Integra or 99-00 Civic si fuel rail anyway so the fpr will clear the iat on the aebs manifold....

What are you using for management anyway?

No, turboedit can be used on any socketed obd0 ecu i believe. http://www.pgmfi.org is a good resource for OBD0 tuning.

i read that site for like an hour and ive been reading other write ups for like two days and this **** is sooo confusing i still have no fukn clue

so you get a chip..what chip and where?
you get a program (turboedit)
how do you actually tune it..does it have to be on the car? ive seen people selling pcm's with programmed eproms but doesnt it have to be tuned using your own motor with what mods you have?

If you want to tune the car without pulling out the Chip and bringing it in and reburning it you'll need a Romulator, this runs the ecu instead of the chip so you can adjust it with a laptop instead of having to keep reburning copies.

I don't know a whole lot about this, it is like you mentioned Horribley confusing. I did go as far as purchasing a chip kit for my ecu. It had everthing you need to chip your ecu except for the chips, the burner, and the program to burn them.

I learned a lot of what i know (which isn't a lot) on http://www.homemadeturbo.com thats also where i got he chip set, which i dont' think i'll ever use at.

It's possible, however without having access to a dyno it's quite difficult to tell what changes are required. It's best if you do it your self, or bring it to someone who knows exactly what they are doing. Their aren't many shops that can tune using uberdata either. Most of them are only trained in to tune certain kinds, such as AEM, Hondata, or the likes.

With out access to your car the closest they could get to a tuned map would be some kind of base map that'll make your car run, but not well. It'll leave a lot of room for improvement.

When you get it all figured out (if that's possible) I'm sure you'll be able to tune it quickly and easily.

Another choice would be finding someone running this setup already and have them send you a basemap, that way you could run it until you figure out the little adjustments.

i am really stuck here. i am wanting to get this kit in about 2 weeks and i have no dyno around here to tune with. i have no skills on chipping and tuning so im not sure about the turboedit. i would go greddy blue box or hondata s200 but i dont have the spare cash to go obd1. dont they just make a fmu that has closer a.f ration than 12-1? if i was only runnin 8 psi i was told id be runnin rich with 12-1 of course the fmu would only be temporary

The fmu is boost dependent. For example a 12:1 fmu will add 12psi of fuel pressure for every psi of boost. So at 10 psi the fmu would be providing 120psi of fuel. Therefore, in addition to an fmu you will need a high pressure inline fuel pump. The fmu is also adjustable by switching out the discs inside the unit. There are 8:1, 6:1 etc discs available.

ive also heard its not safe to only have a fmu for fuel management when running a tubo...i dont want to waste everything on the car by lacking a nice fm system

FMU, high pressure pump, and a map sensor bypass would be all you need to run the car with a turbo. However, this way is fairly ghetto at best imo, but it has been done before. Since you don't have a dyno around you and you are not sure about tuning it yourself, it is going to be hard to get a quality ems system.
