you should probably post in the hybrid forum, but since you posted here, there are a coulple of engines that you could put in that car. you could do the old h22a swap like everyone else does to their hondas, or you could put the b series motor into it, either from the 3rd gen prelude, or from the integra. all three dohc and more horsepower/torque. the main question is, what are you planning on doing with this prelude? autocross, drag, show, daily driver?

With just a motor swap, you'll not be in the 13's. I know that DRAG used to make a turbo kit for a '86-'87 2.0Si engines. They _said_ it would do 13's without a problem... but they could've been smoking some back in '95.

sadly the second gen has few swaps all of which i know about... but your car is an auto and carbed so any swap would not be worth the money but your in luck if you want to spend money cause a place here in va did an h22a in an 84 prelude and it ran 12 with just a stock motor the bad news is they charge about 8 k for the swap and the car is not really street worthy. if you want to get more power i suggest a set of weber carbs and a twm induction manifold. that and exaust is worth about 50 wheel hp but then you will have to swap to a 5 speed as the auto is the weakest part of this model. hope that helps if you have any othe questions just ask

Do what I'm doing, or plan on doing...

My car should be out of the shop tomarrow, or saturday, grrrr...

Anyway, she's getting a JDM B20A5 dropped in, about 20-50K miles, 50K of course at most... If I get a LudeSPEED turbo installed, I can easily haul *** on most cars. Cost:

Engine: $620 w/ tax
Labor: $700 w/ removal of A/C - weight reduction
Turbo: $2,500 - ouch, but well worth it - http://www.ludespeed.com/

I'm not sure if I'm going to do this or not, I might rock my car for awhile, since she's pretty mint, however I got mine heart set on a black EK (Dx). We'll see...
