right on guys. nice to know theres a few fellow owners i can talk to. i have a few questions about timing. will it really get screwed up much if that one vacuum advance hose is leaking? cause im getting poor gas mileage now for some reason and my compression is up to specs, i just timed it and it looks good, i baby my car, etc.... i dont know what would cause it. btw, your guys preludes, are they stock? or are they tweaked? 5 speed or 4 speed? i have a 4 speed, wi were a 5 speed

 

well the gas thing is more than likely a distributor thing.... check the breaker assy.
as for your other question i have an auto dx with alot of modz....

 

do you have pics of your car? and what is a dx? is that supposed to be base model? all i know of is si and the other one has no badging.

 

the dx is the carbureted model for that generation. we both have those models. the 1.8 dual carb sidedraft. puts out 100 hp and 104 ft lbs of torque. the si model puts out 110 hp and i am not sure about the torque. the si is also fuel injected and a 2.0 liter. as far as mods go, i am afraid there aren't that many things you can do. before getting into that, what model do you have?

 

i got the 1.8 with 2.0 badges and si bumbers. red in color. auto tranny

and for any ones info there are lots of mods to be done!!!! not to sound like a bastard just need to respect our elders right? in fact mugen made alot for the car and not the si. but the si in japan came with the DOHC b20a. damn usa regulations. >; (.........
