Default h22 lost motion assembly into a b16 questions.

i've searched and found some information that wasn't so clear. i saw the difference between the older style b-series lma's and the new styles. i also saw the difference between b16, gsr, and ITR lma's.

what i'm unclear on is people in the posts where talking about putting h22 LMA's into b-series. i want to know the difference between the h22 and the ITR's and i'd also like to know what is needed to put the h22 LMA's into a b16 head.

i plan on getting BC3's and from what all the posts are saying about LMA's, i'm really interested in getting some that will support the cams.

forgot to mention, i plan to turn the motor to 9000rpm (if the cams make power up there and what not)

i was reading a thread here on h t about putting h22 lma's into a bseries head. the diff. between itr and h22 is the itr is taller and more expensive. to use the h22 you need to buy washers to put underneath the h22 lma to raise it up. i can't remember the thickness of the washer. the search function isn't working right now, but if you get a chance look up h22 lma. there was a good write up on it and all the info you need to do the lma swap. hope that was of some help buddy.......

Ok to clear this up. I have an H22 and ran into a problem with my LMA's about a month ago. LMA's are actually the same exact part # on the B16 and GSR as the H22. The upgrade is the ITR LMA's. The part # is 14820-P73-J01. I installed the in the ITR LMA's in the H22 head no washers and so far so good. I know of few guys with GSR and B16 heads making huge power simply upgrading to ITR LMA's. I hope this helps

Omniman's thread.

I'm running the prelude LMAs in my LSVTEC and they're holding up to the cam lift and RPM... I also think the prelude LMAs are designed better.
