SCE copper head gaskets
Hi.
I am building my 2000 Si. I have a b16 head with ITR internals. However when I took the head to the shop while the block was getting bored/balanced, we found that the head was already milled .030 BELOW minimum spec.
So - I ordered a .062 copper gasket. However I am using CTR pistons, and I'm worried this won't be enough. I found that SCE also makes a gasket that is .093".
I have already searched and found no info. Has anyone used this kind of gasket? Do you think a gasket this think will solve my problem of tall domes & a milled head? (all while keeping compression reasonable with california's 91 octane?)
Thanks!

Thanks, but actually there's an updated thread (also with little or no response). I now have the SCE ICS copper gasket (built-in O-ring), a custom Cometic, and an OEM:
