Which year/color ITR will be more valuable?
Rest assured, there all collectors item. Which one would you think that would have more rarety to it?
We all know the 97 is common for being the most rare
The reason why I ask, is cause I have the chance to pick a two similar Itr's that are both bone stock and practically the same mileage. The two are a 98 CW itr and the other is a PY 00 ITR.
Im wondering if I should fork out the extra 1300.00 more
the guy wants for the 2000 ITR.
I know for the new age, the py itr is better investment..however I look at long term ownership and was wondering from you ITR owners, what do you think will be more of collectors item in the future?
Thanks..

CW is the "classic" ITR color and always will be..
PY's currently have a better resale value, but they are newer, so..

Without a doubt.

I would say CW, it is the original color of the Type R legends. Then again its an older car.........
Deja Vu for me here, I ended up with a 01 PY

Are you considering this a long-term investment that will pay off based on rarity? It's just a car for you to enjoy and nothing more.
Anyway I too would vote CW as my preference
and more specifically a '97 although that doesn't apply in your case.

Correct. It's always been that way, look in the history books.
Example : 67 Camaro and 2002 Camaro...
Color, well that's going to be determined by a few things; how many are made, how many are left at the time of purchasing a used one and demand and supply.

I would have to say 98 Honda Integra Type R - Silver (In Japan made less in silver in 98 ) also the (mine) car is a "track version" has no power steering, and no ABS from the factory!!!!

I believe that the cw or the py will be more of a collectors item not the black the black was just kind of thrown out ther, I mean come on it came in two colers in two years so its going to be cw or py.

I believe a 1997 with no dealer installed options (no A/C, etc) will be the most valuable. It was the first year produced and the lightest.
The PY could possibly do well for the simple fact that it's color is VASTLY different than any other integra color. You could get black and white on any Integra. A mintly restored PY will really stand out 30 years from now IMO.

A/C dealer installed on the 98? Personally I would go with the lower mileage. If you were wanting it for a collectors item, I would try and find one with low miles (5k) and keep it that way regardless of color. The color will come down to the personal preference of the buyer when it comes time to sale.

regardless of what color, year, options...a type r is a type r. same blood. if you're thinking 10-20 years from now, you'll be lucky to even find any color, year with the rate they are dropping.
questions is, when you went and saw each car, which one spoke to YOU on a deeper level?. just being lucky to be able to get one and afford is great, but choice is always nice.
