Sratching Sound from Driver-side back wheel
Hello,
My 1999 GSR just started making a sound on the driver-side BACK wheel. I left my house and it started raining really hard and then turned to snow. About half-way on my commute, I noticed a scratching sound from the wheel, maybe the brakes. The sratching sound was changing as with the speed of the car, and I can hear it scartching something with low speed and then as I speed, the sratching speed also increased...
wtf coiuld this be?

it sounds like it is one of two things;
1. the dust shield scraping against the rotor
2. the the one of the brake pads scraping against the rotor. you sadi it happened after it rainded ? then chances are it is the second choice. Take youe wheel off, pul your brake caliiper off, check the surface of your brakes pads and rotor, and then put them back on and see if it continues.

sounds like the metal shield is scraping on the rotor.. just take off the back wheel and see what it is.. if there is anything rubbing on the rotor bend it back

I've had rocks get caught between the caliper and rotor. I've also worn brake pads down to the backing plates. Both would make a sound similar to what you're describing.
I'd start by jacking up that corner and spinning the wheel to see if you can hear where it's coming from. You'll probably want to pull off the wheel and probably the brake caliper to check it out.
