Default very mild ls/vtec opinons what i need and dont

going to build a LS/VTEC for 91 HF. its fully gutted, fiberglass 1pc front end, and ill be running lenso w/ m&h slicks 22 x 8 x 13. my goal just for this year is high 13s. basically this motor im building now is just temporary till next year thats why im trying to skimp out on stuff not really needed.

honed b18a block (already have)
standard jdm b16 pistons w/ new rings (already have)
acl bearings
b16a head
b17 cams (already have)
skunk2 intake manifold (needed?)
maxbore TB to 62mm (needed?)
dc jdm 4-1 / jdm **** / megan 4-1 header (i know the dc would be the best replica but like i said im cheap)

with this engine im going to use a 92-93 gsr ys1 trans w/ an ACT XTSS clutch, stock flywheel & as for tuning im running uberdata. so any input is helpful, i want to get in running in about a month for opening day. thanks

ARP rod bolts and head studs would be a wise investment. Also, with that compression you should be running a much larger cam profile. With good tuning you should have absolutely no problem hitting high 13's and could probably go much faster.

And for M&H slicks. I've got a buddy on M&H's who has clocked a best E.T. of 11.81 running an LS/V in an EG. He's running PCT's as opposed to P30's, S2S2 cams, and TWM ITB's though.

thing is, i dont really want to build up this engine too much. i want to keep the stock cams because i only plan on revving to 8.1k rpms and i spoke with omniman and said that stock rod bolts will be fine. with this mild of a setup i doubt head studs will really do much, maybe more so on a higher comp engine high 11s +. i cant wait to try the M&H's, i got them for a great deal. thanks for your input.

my goal is to maybe hit around 150-160ish whp and i think thatll be good for high 13s w/ slicks. buddy of mines ran a 14.0 @ 99 mph in his CX w/ jdm gsr + clutch + cat back.
