Bored 64 mm TB giving me wierd idles
no cel goes on, all i have is a b18c5 IM, AEM cai, and then the 64 mm bored tb on my 99 Si....when I put it on neutral after i'm in any gears it stays alittle below 1.5 rpms...then when i go to a complete stop after 5-10 seconds goes down normal to 1 rpm at idle. Or when I'm just stationary and I rev the engine..when the rpm goes back down it stays at 1.5 for 5-10 seconds and then drops at 1 rpm....is this normal? what could be wrong? all the hoses are straight, i put a brand new b18c5 tb gasket, everything is on tight... *shrugs*
have you cleaned out the intakemanifold and the tb since you have installed it? if not spray it don with some carburator cleaner. if thats dosnt work. try checking your map sensor for damage.
it is ok because ur flywheel is slowing down and pretty much its normal. U would have problem if ur rpm literaly stay at 2000rpm or higher but around 1500rpm n under its ok .Mine is a d15b n it drop to 700rpm n i think its all in the flywheel and the throttle if u can adjust ur throttle it can drop to 1000rpm n under just make sure it doesnt drop lower then 700 thats bad cuz its to low n ur engine will shut off
my eg cx kind of does that when i reset my ecu with the fake j intake
after driving for a while it goes away
so try driving around and see if it will go away

So that delay from it staying at 1.5 then going down to 1 is the flywheel? ..if thats the case how come it doesn't do it with the normal tb? IACV wasn't messed with, map, tps sensors are fine, maybe i can clean the manifold i guess..but its just normal oil in there..maybe get a catch can or something..i dunno *shrugs* I'm just worried that this will give me less miles per gallon, which I don't think i wanna sacrifice for just .00001 hp+

ect your tb cable, and the rubber boot that covers the cable, make sure there is a little bit of play and that it allows your throttle plate to close all the way. Also chect to make sure you have the correct tps voltage setting.
thats most likely the problem. if they bored it, they probably took it off and didnt reset it to the stock settings.
you're gonna need a volt meter to set it right and to view the voltage. just use the positive lead to touch the red wire going to the tps sensor and ground the black lead. should be around .45 at idle and 4.5 WOT
if the search wasn't down i'd give you a link on here of how to do it. just search for "setting tps" and i'm sure a lot of things will come up
