Is it really worth it. My brothers 99 SI has it everywhere in the trunk especially and he dosent care how loud it sounds inside his car . is this really worth the trouble and will it help any? what are some other things that will free up weight issues?
i really doubt that removing the sound deading mats will make a noticable difference, i my self to the spare tire out, the jack, the rear seats and rear carpet and sometimes at the track the passenger seat and you notice quite a difference

Oh my brother has nothing absolutley nothing in his trunk no speakers no rear seats nothing . Supposably dry ice and a chisel is the best method to get rid of it so hope fully that does it . Thanks for the help.
