Faulty temperature gauge? Bounces up and down..actual temp not changing.
I don't seem to have a loose connection, coolant level is fine...the actual temperature isn't changing.
I was wondering if this is a common problem/glitch in the Si/EX gauge cluster.
When I get on the gas, the temperature gauge goes down...almost at a direct rate in relation to the tach. as the RPM goes up (if I'm accelerating), the temp goes down.
It's almost as if the tach is drawing voltage away from the temp gauge which causes it to malfunction.

I got one off ebay and its doing the same thing!!!!
It may be my sending unit. Check to see if the votlage that is being sent to the claster is changing or if the cluster itself is causing the problem.

A common problem is a bad ground. I had one which would go up if the turn signals went on, brake lights came on, etc.
No the the guage goes up and down really fast sometimes u can defantly tell its an electrical problem. Im gonna start messing with it sometime today
