Default Rebuilt z6, car won't start

well heres the thing, i rebuilt my z6 to 9.0 compression and i just swapped it in a few days ago. the car cranks, is getting fuel, sparks, and timing is correct but it will just not simply start. when i put the key into ignition, the check engine light suppose to come on for a second and shut off, but the thing is that it stays on and won't shut off. also a friend of mine said it could be the main relay, when the key is in ignition, there is a clicking noise coming from it. could anyone tell me if thats ok? or does that suppose to do that. i told a friend of mine about it and he says that the relay is engaging or something. if anyone could help me please so do!

welllll if the check engine light is staying on,
that means you have a check engine code that you need to check and trouble shoot.

go find out what code it is throwing,
should help you figure out whats wrong big time.
let us know what code it is and we can help you.

and double check your cam/crank timing, make sure the dizzy isnt flipped 180 or something. Make sure all your grounds are good and making secure contact.

all very true other than the fact that the dizzy cant be flipped 180, the slots are offset so it can only be installed one way.....gl

true they are offset,
but unfortunately, the prongs on the dizzy are free to jiggle side to side, allowing it to fit into the cam backwards, even though it has that offset to it.
