Default STR 70 mm TB Surge Problems.....

Help Guys! I got this new STR 70mm TB and the idle is jumping from 1k to 3k RPM! I have checked and had No luck with vacuum leaks. The surging goes away when I plug the hole in the Tb and it idles fine when I unplug the IAC sensor but in turn throws a code.

I have already calibrated the TPS to .5V as well and spoken to reps @ STR

I know that if I had an OEM with a fast idle control valve it might repair it but in this case there is not one.

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem and had luck fixing it
TIA

sounds like you have a bad iac or a leak from there also could be a leak or a bad fast idle valve , if you have one

Check the gasket and see if its on correctly. You might have a gasket leak...

did you adjust the tps to .49volts? Well the problems is that too much air is entering the car at idle. Make sure the butterfly is closed all the way and use the screw at the top to adjust the idle. Sometimes these aftermarket throttle bodies needs adjusting..

I have calibrated the TPS sensor to .5V like the helms says to
I have checked the gasket by spraying carb cleaner to see if it bogs out and cant find a leak
I do NOT have a fast idle valve
and I have tried adjusting the idle screw but it does NOT seem to do anything
I called the STR guys and they are sending me a new gasket and a redesigned Idle screw so maybe that will do something?

did u use the gasket that came with the str throttle body? the one that came with mine i had to hole punch so air would go throught he channel to the iac valve...this channel is also where the air from the idle screw comes from....stock gasket bad on stock motor....unless your gonna use the butterly plate screw to keep it open enough to idle properly

Have you received the parts we sent out? A port is needed in the gasket in some applications as well. Please call us if you have any further questions or problems.

ITRacer121 has recieved the idle screw, but never got the mother fuggin gasket. Idiots can't get anything right. Please someone post a pic of their STR gasket so I can at least try to help him get that Hype R running.
