Out of pure curiosity how come all these young people 'plan' on getting a turbo system? I know you guys aren't making $20.00 an hour or working full time. To hit 11's in that car....plan on a 10K dollar investment. Do you have this kind of capital to simply blow on a car? Money talks. If I were your age I'd rather go to college get a good job then boost whatever your little heart desires, because you can actually afford it. Just my .02
it's a birthday gift my parents are giving me money to build my own turbo kit so yes i can afford it plus i been saving up for this for a long time now and i make 11.50 an hour there you go
how many miles on that engine? if the engine has been well maintained. you looking at $3,500-$5,000. for a solid set-up.
running high 11's? get rdy for $8+ to put into your car.

personally i woudln't turbo a ls to run 11's id go wtih a gsr and a ls tranny with lsd. build the gsr bottom end hardcore as in boreing, bumping it to a 2.0 a good set of pistons running about a 9:1 compression, balance the crank, then building the head, then boosting the holy bejesus out of it. trust me ur going to be looking at about a 8-10k build doggy

yes it is fun to drive a boosted car...there's nothing else like it. and yes you WILL go broke trying to get it to run constant 11's.
first things first, research every little thing before you start asking questions that has been already asked and answered. find out for yourself what you really want to do with your money, have a game plan on what you're gonna do, then ask the questions that you can't answer yourself.
before you even think about turboing your car, start with the basics first and find the best motor/tranny combination for yourself. then think about your budget, power goals, suspension/drivetrain and work your way from there. and don't listen to people saying that you have to get a vtec motor. most the people saying this have never driven a turbo'd ls.
