6 Disk in the Arm Rest
I have a 99 coupe, that i just recently purchased, it has the stock head unit, and a six disk in the trunk. The fact that im never going to use the freaking huge arm rest for anything important got me wondering how easy it would be to move my six disk to the arm rest. Has anyone done this and how much interior disassembly would this take? I have measure the Six disk and it would fit in all dimensions? Also what kind of screws would i use to put in the plastic that wouldn't go through or would i need a custom mount? I would want it to braketed to the side of the arm rest. Thanks for the help, im pretty new at this stuff, but willing to learn.
Well i have some plans to replace the head unit anyway with a 7" screen and a DVD player so i wanted to keep the Six disk. As for the head unit im looking for one that can handle the six disk and has DVD/MP3....etc. I don't want a screen with the DVD player i want to buy it seperately. Anyone know of one?
My original question was how to mount the alpine 6 disk in the Big portion of the arm rest. And to see if anyone has done it and/or has pictures or a diagram of what they used to mount it.

I mounted my Pioneer changer in the armrest. It's rather bulky so I had to remove the lower plastic panel for it to sit low enough so that I could close the top of the armrest.
Basically what I did was take it out of the trunk and see if it will fit in the first place. Next was moving all the wires from the trunk under the seats and carpet and into the console. It helps to wrap a length of wire around the wires for the changer and pull them under the carpet that way. Just becareful you don't pull too hard and snap them. Other than figuring out a way to sit it in there w/ the wires it was pretty easy. Took me maybe an hour or so. You will also need to unscrew some portions of the console and maybe cut a slit in the carpet so you have enough room to slip the wires for the changer in there.
Sorry, no pics.

im pretty sure the alpine units were factory options...my 5th gen 6disk was from teh factory, and though it has honda badging, i believe it was made by alpine....i was gonna put mine in the center console, but its too big....then i thought about putting it in the glove box...but im lazy, so i just placed it under the drivers seat...it isnt uber easy to operate buckeled in, but ive got long arms, so i can swap out cartidges at stop lights and such
