Default Who has rebuilt their own tranny (DIY)

Has anyone rebuilt theirown tranny? If so how difficult is it to do? My shift forks are bent and the 5th gear grinds and I wanna fix it my self and save some $$. Where can I find a tear down of an H23 tranny? I'll probably replace all the syncros and forks and what else should I do?

I know for sure the Helms Shop manual has a complete teardown of the entire motor and tranny.I forgot the website. But a google search should reveal it.
