Default MSD 2 step...What do you recomend I have activate it?

I have the options of the clutch switch, or the E-brake.

I should also mention that I have the hondata 2step setup currently hooked up to the clutch switch.

I was thinking about using the Ebrake so that I can set the Hondata up for a no lift/shift RPM.

what do you guys reccomend?

I had mine set up on a momentary switch with a lead. Seemed to work pretty well. Why aren't you using the Hondata 2 step?

I use the msd hooked to my clutch. How much power are you trying to "no lift shift"? Ever seen a tranny grenade?

because i have fatt *** hands and didnt want to get to the neutral safety switch inder the dash, i made an "L" bracket off the front of the tranny, that is activated by the slave cylinder/clutch pushing lever.

i have the msd 6al and it works great, i used an NOS micrswitch to activate it.

i dont like buttons and lead wires cause its just one more motion to accomplish while trying to launch the car, less moving parts equals better and more accurate launches.

plus you can still use a staging brake or the E brake like i do, builds good boost.

its just the little backfires make me nervouse, cause the 6al is slower than the digital 7 on the revlimiter

oh an ddont use the hondata one, its a fuel cut not a spark cut, it will cause some rough detonation

Thats also what I've found... It doesn't seem to cut out evenly, and kind of pops occasionally. Also it doesn't build very good boost...Soooo I guess I just solved my issue.

I'll just hook up the MSD too the clutch switch.

But for those with an MSD setup hooked up too the clutch switch, what happens when your going down the track and you shift at say...9500, but you have your 2 step set too 5K. Will it cut ignition like mad? I'm kinda worried what it will do when I press the clutch after the launch.

Here you go to solve your problem. YOu have to get a momentary switch and a 12 relay also. http://www.msdignition.com/pdf...2.pdf
Figure 2

When you push in your clutch you send 12 v to the relay, now all you have to do is press and release the momentary switch and now your 2 step is activated. As you release your clutch, you now killed the power going to your 2 step, and you don't have to worry about it kickin'in during shifts. Hope thats some help. It works on my buddies mustang.
