Manifold Absoulte Pressure sensor ( MAP) It actually has MAP written on the top of the sensor.

Very important, yes you need it, you should be throwing a code without it. plug it back in.

lol uhhh all H22's and all Honda's and fuel injected cars have them.

You sure you are capable of doing this swap on your own? There is shitload of other sensors you probably dont know about as well.

Seek the help of a professional or someone who has experience with Honda's.

you will find your MAP sensor mounted to the middle of the firewall on a 4th gen.

5th gen's got it on the throttle body.

is that an 'A4?

All MAP sensors are on the mani. They measure Manifold Absolute Pressure..... Yeah its basically what tells your car the percent engine load being put on it. Without it your fuel injection system wont run Period. Why do people do swaps or other things without any mechanical knowlege. I dont go do surgery on myself cause its free.... also make sure you put your computer grounds where they need to go, seen some cars run fuctup from kids putting ground straps on painted surfaces like shock mounts....hilarious

wrong. not all map sensors are on the manifold. the stock place for usdm 4th gens is mounted on the wire wall with a vac/press tube connected right on the TB

but the rest of your post was correct
