When you think about a 4-door GSR, do you see it more as a family car then a sports car? I been trying to get a 2-door GSR for a while now, and I been having a hard time finding a clean stock 94+GSR. It seems like these cars are in crazy demand here in the Bay Area and people are jacking up prices and STILL getting buyers. So I decided, the next best thing, a 4-door GSR. Seen a few for very reasonable price but it has two extra doors....I prefer a 2-door but I can't see spending a extra $2k for a 2-door when a 4-door is just the same but has more doors.....what should I do? Get the 2-door or 4-door?

 

If I had to do it all over again, I wished I have gotten a 4-door. It costs less to insure, it's not common, it's a bit roomier in the rear, and with an OEM spoiler it looks .

 

I like the 4 door,GSR's are hard to find being there no longer made and in such high demand.

 

and I bet it's more quiet.

no hatch rattle, and slightly more sound dampening. Our hatches have NO sound insulation in the hatch area.

I love sedans.

 

i like the 4 door one of my good friends (hautsaauce on HT) has a clean *** one. however the weight consideration comes into factor, if that is ok w/ u i would go for it.

I prefer the look of a 2door as well, but the 4 door is more convenient. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

 

4 doors are the ONLY teg style i like...touring man..

 

personally I like the 2 doors best, but there sure are some dope 4 doors out there.

 

If i were you.. Get a four door GSR and slap a JDM type r front end on it...
that is sweet....

 

There are sometimes I wish I had a 4 door... Ever try to fit three people... one 300 pounds, one 225 and the other 170 in a two door Integra? lol, I broke down, the 300 sat in front and I put down the two rear seats so the other two sat in the trunk with some extra room... lol, it worked and they seemed to enjoy it.

i used to have one the only real benefit that you can get from it is more headroom and you can fit 5 people instead of just 4, and it has a mit more of trunk space. i would take a fourdoor over a twodoor any day.

 

I personally own a 2 door gsr and I had chosen 2 door because:

1. They look better
2. Sports Car
3. Look at Japan, 2 doors mainly

I personally think 4 doors is more towards a family sedan.

 

here in austin there are always a dozen or so 4-door GS-Rs for sale.... but 2 doors are VERY rare.... not sure why.

 

I love 4 doors for a bunch of different reasons including the ones in the other comments. In response to weight, I think the weight factor is that 4 doors weigh approx 500lbs more than a 2-door. I know weight can help a lot, but 500 really isn't that much if you wanted to gut the 4 door, you could get the weight to be almost the same. Thought the 4 door has a trunk, you can fit amazing amounts of things in a hatch. My friend fit a mattress into her hatch, and there is no way I could have done that in my 4 door. I'd say get a 4 door if you can get it for cheaper and find one.

I drive a small leight weight two seater, well, I guess someone w/o legs can fit in my back seat...

 

the weight is not that bad really i have beat many 2doors and can hold my own against many cars with no probs

1. Isn't that what this post is asking for anyways? Opinion.

2. Do you really have to ask this question? I guess it would be more accurate to say, a 2 door is more "sports car like" than a 4 door.

They look better when they are dropped. If i had the money I would get one asap. I wanted one since i was 15-16.

2. They have the same motor, tranny, and suspension. Both seem like sports cars to me.

Oh as far as the wieght difference. The 4 door weighs in at only 100lbs heavier than the 2 door. 100lbs is a lot, but it is not that drastic, unless you are building a complete race car.

Persoanlly, I love the 4 doors. I prefer all Honda 4 doors over the 2 doors, witht he exception of the Civic.
