When Omni's new coilover will come out??
Before I decided to sell my car I was about to buy an Omni setup. I messaged him to find out about those rumors...
omniman: the eg camber kits have a new ball joint that has 10 degrees more movment range. also we will have an adj dampening coilover that will retail for about 1000 it will be 32 way adj. and comes with 6 spring sets 8k 10k 12k this will be availble in april. other than that there are no changes

No it won't.
It'll have 32 click settings to divide the adjustment range, but it will probably only be 1-way adjustable.

its funny that he releases these now saying that originally adjustable dampers were "inferior" to his because he dampers and springs were MATCH perfectly.
I am glad he did, but its largely hypocritical.

in those words no, but i could certianly find several threads were "kteller" syas something DIRECTLY along those lines.
omni man hasn't really said ANYthing about these coilovers since he did the comparision with hayama and skunk2.

He is hardly ever on H-T, or any other forum, anymore. If you have a questions you can always email him.
Mike(Kteller) does know Steve and is the largest seller of Omnipower products, however, he does not represent Omnipower.

Maybe thats why he includes the additional sets of springs?

Don't these look extremely familar...
-Slight difference from omni's.. the shock body is coated
-Springs are black
-Completely polished
Everything else... exactly the same (has shock boots too)

Here are some pics of the '32 way adjustable coilovers'.
Not a pic of a honda specific one but you get the point... I wouldn't be suprised if the 'NEW OMNI's' looked damn close to these either.

Now take a look at Megan's '32way adjustable coilovers'

Difference... lower shock mount is polished... in the pic directly from the manufacture.. no pillowball mounts shown
Rebadging products owns, custom specs? HA.

So you are saying that all the products that megans racing makes that are meant to imitate another popular product are, in fact, exact copies of those products?

Nope.
Its not imitating, its one manufacture. They are from another manufacture overseas, and purchased and rebadged for sales in the US.
If 'x' person had 'x' amount of money.. they can buy 'x' amount and name it 'The ****' suspension... you just need someone to hype it up. In this case.. Omni.. why does his stuff sell so well? He has a good background. Vs. Megan which has no background.
None of this stuff is 'custom' or make to specific specs, they're already made overseas by the mass.

What do you think..? Just really really close similarities?
I got those pics from an overseas manufacture... it just happen to be the same from thousand and thousands of miles away?

Are you saying that manufacturer told you they are exactly the same, or are you assuming that since they are both made in the same country that they are the same shock?
Who cares? Give it a rest. It's a damn good deal for what a lot of people are looking for no matter who you buy from or what name is on the product.
You don't have to spend 2-3 times the money for brand name **** that isn't going to be of much benafit to the average joe in his daily driver.
Does every post about these coilovers have to end the same way?

It's the same thing with rota wheels. Everyone on honda-tech wants to have whats popular but very few people have the money, so knock off companies put together some junk and sell it and make a killing.
As I've said before, there are only a handful of manufacturers in Taiwan that produce a LOT of coilovers. What happens in Taiwan is, for the most part, companies will approach a factory and ask them to make them a coilover, and that factory will take a basic coilover design, and source parts out from their normal sources, and put together coilovers for this new company. Now the new company can ask the factory to build it however they want (use better/cheaper components, different colors, different damping characteristics) but for the most part the companies just want something cheap and easy to market to the masses in Taiwan, who don't seem to care about individuality (beyond brand name) as much as the U.S. does. Whats important to keep in mind is not all companies are this way, and some will spend the time doing research to come up with a better coilover. So what makes one coilover perform well, and another perform better? I'm willing to bet its not the looks. Even in Taiwan, the less scrupulous companies don't fare very well at all against the more established and quality companies out there, of which there are only a few.
In the end though, I see why U.S. customers are worried, because this does happen, so we are afraid of buying one of these copy-cat no-research-done coilovers. And because its relatively difficult to discover differences in performance/quality/components etc., people are even more worried about the next thing to come along. But as a consumer, you need to do your research, ask a lot of questions, and keep an open mind (don't let someone's skepticism put you off totally). A good company will continue to do well, while a not-so-good one (that maybe sells a not-so-good product) will face problems sooner or later. Which is why researching is so important.

yeh,
rota's arent really junk though,
there are no substandard quality issues with them.
course they aint forged.. but still, they don't crack or anything, even under
racing conditions. and are light for cast wheels..
(Sorry if this starts a rota war,
)

I think I'm gonna produce a 33 way adjustable damper (33 clicks). The ricers will be all over 'em cause they are more adjustable than the leading brand.
All these shocks are actually 3 way adjustable: damping, ride height, and pre load. Thats it...

wel, i wouldnt even call it 3 way adjustable, when you talk about shocks, the amount of "ways" is how many adustments in damping alone (eg. low speed compression, high speed compression, low speed rebound, high speed rebound.) usually its only rebound adjustable (or both rebound and compression at the same time). it doesnt matter about the amount of clicks, and it doesnt matter about the adjustment of ride height, thats not what the shock does. so the number of adjustments when describing a shock is STRICTLY the amount of damping adjustments.
its stupid to call your shocks "32 way adjustable"... just as stupid to say its "3 way adjustable" when you include ride height and preload.
