well today I started to braze some 1/4 thick metal which was fun but I could'nt keep the puddle straight to make good beads, I had my heat right I have my psi right maybe its because I dont have to steady of a hand but any input would help thankyou

how close is the feather of the flame to the piece your working on? make sure your on a neutral flame and take your time. preheating the seam your working on helps too. good luck

 

it just takes a lot of practice. I actually brazed before i learned to weld. preheating will help and make sure you are running hot enougt o get the filler flowing into the seam properly.

 

yea I preheat good and that seems to help a lot, my teacher told me the exact same things thanks for the possitve replys.

im still not really getting the hang of it I have to turn up the heat. ill lay a little bit more then ill take some pics
