Default Idle problem when engine is cold (please help)

Hey guys im having a slight problem. Heres what happened. I have a 98 civic coupe, its a DX non v-tec 5 speed. My buddy gave me his old v-tec head off his 97 EX (Si in Canada) and i swapped the head. Now the thing is his car was auto so i had to put the auto computer in my car even tho its 5 speed. Everything went fine except ever since i did the swap whenever i just turn on the car and the engine is cold the car revs between 2500-3000 rpm's. It just keeps going up and down for about 5 mins until it warms up...then the rpm's drop down to normal. I know its not a air pressure problem or a vacuum leak so what could it be? Is it maybe the sensor that controls the idling, the actual idle control valve or maybe the fact that im using an auto computer with my 5 speed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

Well the absolute first thing to do is get the right computer. No sense at all in messing with anything until after you get that.

the auto computer should be fine. i'd say your having iacv problems (idle air control). try removing the iacv and cleaning it with carb cleaner.

could he run a 3 wire iacv and add in the extra wire to his harness? then slot it on the ecu if he can't get ahold of an ecu?

i pulled up the info on a website and it shows a 2 wire connector. the thing i dont get is why would there be a 3 wire solenoid? i'm not doubting it, i'm just wondering.

heres the pic:
