you should take a look at some of the setups in this forum....There should be more than enough info.

But to give you an idea,
cams, pistons, valvetrain, engine management, etc.

if it were me;

higher compression OE pistons - 345 presed on
valvetrain - 250
cames - 500-750
IM -200-300
header of your choice - ???
the rest on tuning/fuel management

if your goal was 200 whp, you wouldn't really need to touch the block. you could fully build your head (port polish valvetrain cams) then invest in a good header. port matched intake manifold and a good feul system is good also. engine management you can use uberdata/chrome to save you money.

I'm gonna agree, money invested in a solid port/polish job, proven cams/valvetrain, and a solid header would be money very well spent, get your mani port matched as well and maybe toss a thinner headgasket on for some compression.

If i were you i would cams-500,valvetrain-300, anr header-700, your last 500 with getting any port work you can like a vavle job and basic porting. But your still going to need an engine managment system and lots of tunning to get the best out of this set-up.

its possible to make 200whp from where ur starting, but not easy. unless u can do a lot of the work urself, ur not gonna hit ur hp/$ goal.

however, for like 3k u can do it easy. while an an-r header is nice, ur dc header will work for what u need. the an-r header is gonna squeeze out that extra hp to put u just over the 200 range. but if uve got the dc already, stick w it and spend more money on the head and/or p&p.

this is totaly off topic but u should run 9:1 compression and go with cp piston.

as far as my topic, the fuel management will probably just b uberdata or crome. so now trying to decide whether to use itr or ctr piston.

Get a good set of cams and valvetrain plus hondata. That should a least get you 20+hp. I would also say get it pnp but you only have 2g to spend. If you had 3g to spend it be a different story. Good luck though.

Personally, for a street driven car i would go with the ITR over the CTR. And if you have 2g's you'd be better off getting a good valve job rather than a full p&p
