i have a spare z6 motor that i built and a working one that was in the car. over the weekend i took out the working motor, switched the alternator,starter,distributor, and the harness and put it over to the built motor. the thing is that when i put the new motor in, it cranks but doesn't start. but when i looked everything over, theres fuel there but no spark. but my distributor was working 2 days ago on the motor before i switched it over. anyone know please help me!

 

Check the timing on the belt

 

well i found out whhy it wasn't sparking, it was my ignition control module in the dizzy, so now it sparks,gets fuel,cranks and won't run.

 

try using a little bit or carb cleaner to help it start and see if it starts
