I have a 2000 integra gsr...hoping to get cams in the future..preferably skunk2 stage 1....can a shop tune it if i keep the stock ecu and just get a vtec controller??? and do i HAVE to buy adjustable cam gears???

Cuz my basic set up..all i want to do to my car is intake/header/exhaust/cams/clutch/flywheel/vtec controller...and thats basically it...Help me out if you can....and with the mods i mentioned above..will i have a fast street car?? Thanks guys!!!

 

anything can be tuned. in this case, your set up, definitely.

are you saying my set up is gonna be fast..or it can be tuned with a vafc?

 

get a fpr/afc

 

you can't change your cam timing with a VAFC. You need cam gears to do that.

 

The VAFC will take you no where, I prefer hondata, or ecu chipping, VAFC is not too effiecient with tuning.


that will not be too fast, u need more power, sk2 stage 2 valaveprings, cam gears,pistons, etc, thats a lot of power if u take this route
