weight of stock integra hood vs carbon fiber hood
Since it never been answer... OEM is 35lbs, mine is 12.5lbs... Depending on the brand... I don't know mine, was purchase used...
Now I'm looking for the same info about the trunk... 94-01 OEM hatch vs CF one...

the trunk is major weight saving if u get rid the glass if your no removing the glass i don't see a point, if you're only saving 22.5 pounds with the hood that small of an area on the trunk i dont think would be worth the money. i have a carbon fibre hood that i put on when i was still NA and i didnt really feel any difference. now when i remove my interior and sound system that is quite noticeable.
could always replace the front bumper reinforcement bar with a jdm support bracket.
saves more weight than a cf hood and costs way less.
also removes weight from the front of the vehicle, where it's optimal to help balance the distribution.
personally, i wouldn't bother with the trunk for anything but appearance, as it takes weight from the back, which imo, isn't all that important
although, i guess, depending on what it's being used for, shaving any overall weight could be important

A friend of mine got cf hood, cf trunk (w/ lexan glass or whatever it is he used), and cf sunroof cover (to remove sunroof assembly) and he did overall get better mpg. Much more than my stock GS-R. In my opinion, over time, it'll pay for itself w/ the better mpg.

yes i cut all braces out of my car my bumper is held by the front quarter bolts, bolts under the hood and i fabricated a couple brackets for the bottom theres lots of ways to shave weight like the bolted on hook/brackets on the front, strap hooks and so on get rid of the rear wiper and motor but honestly gutting the interior is where you'll save the most, i have nothing bolted down in the back of my car so when i go racing i can just easily pull it all out quickly the difference is quite noticeable especially on small tight autcross tracks
I have shave more than 450lbs on my car so far... It's a track car and it's corner weight every year... And balance mean nothing if you don't have any objective... My goal is less weight... I don't car where, I'll manage with the corner weight after... The lighter you are, better acceleration, braking and handling you'll have...
Btw, everybody think the front bumper support weight like 50 lbs.... It's 13lbs, that's it...
22lbs is a lot, since it's 1% of the total weight of my car right now...
The best move I did is my home made sunroof plug... I have shave 31 pound replacing it... and it's at the highest point of the car... An other good moce is A/C... 40lbs + 2lbs of gaz... I have weight almost eveything I took of from the car...
So yes, the FAL polything back glass is on the list... that is why I'm wondering if replacing the OEM trunk with a CF worth it...
So if you have the answer, you have weight the oem and the cf rear hatch then I'd like to know it... otherwise what you think about it, without knowing the objective, it's pointless...

And for balance, even if it's off tread, A fwd car needs weight on the front wheels to put power down... You wouldn't want to have a 50/50 distribution like on some rear rwd... 60/40 to 65/35 is more efficient for putting power down... Gravity center, weight distribution, wheel base and a bunch of variable come into play after and affect the rest of the balance...
And this is not my tread, I just came with objectives answers for others that it might help.
