Cai-short ram-type s intake...which is best?
Hi. I just had my H22 head ported and I now have a 63mm throttle body on the car (accord 2000 coupe) but I'm running a stock air box. I need to get more air in order to benefit from the head work but water and puddles are an issue in my area.I know that the cai would be risky in this case but does this mean that my only way out would be the type-s airbox or the short ram or is there another solution out there that I'm not aware of.thanks to those who reply.
the CAI shows most gains in the upper RPM range
the SRI shows most gains in the lower-mid RPM range
the TYPE-S shows most gains in the lower-mid RPM range, while having more torque than the other options.
i personally have a ICEMAN CAI.

You know, I have tried both a SRI and the Type-S and I actually like the SRI better. It pulls harder high end. I currently have the Type-S w/K&N filter on my car though just because I am going through the JDM phase.

opposite buddy...sri helps higher rpms because of its length..sucks air in faster than a cai...cai is for lower
as for the v2...its gets the ebst of both worlds basically..i ahve that..i like it..and u dont have to worry about hydrolocking it...plus next time maxxx..search...this has been talked about 10000 times and the only reason i said something was to correct cjanik

Hey Napalm whats so different with the v2 that it's impossible to hydrolock? By the way I did search but not much came up about jdm type-s intakes compared to other intakes.thanks for your input though.

the v2 doesnt go into the bumper like normal cai...at least for preludes cause my buddy eclipse goes lower....the v2 is a good intake...if u had to choose between a normal cai or v2 definietly go v2...but if moneys an issue...its been convered many times all u need is a ebay pipe and k&n filter
