you dont want to slam it, especially if its a girl. Oh well. I had H&R race springs and all my wheels pretty much tucked most of the time. (w/ 17s and 225/45/17, 205/35 or 40 wont tuck as much). Make sure you get a front and rear camber kit, or your tires will go after about 3 moths MAX.

Also when your slammed and you get the camber kit, on preludes, the camber kit hits under the hood like crazy and is almost undriveable. If you go with some sport springs, and 16s, you shouldnt need a camber kit and wont have much tire wear. (rotate tires often). With 17s and a camber kit, at least with sport springs you wont hit under the hood.

Also the wider you go on tires, the more you will camber. So a 215 or a 225/40 will camber more than a 205.

hope this helps

go buy the cheapest coilovers you can find, because your going to be ruining the handling anyway and making it look retarded, so just get the cheapest solution

I'm on h&r race..it's not too low, i rarely scrape. It's a nice drop but if your looking for 2.5-3.0" I think you need coil overs. The skunk2 coilovers aren't bad for the price, considering they're only a little bit more than h&r race springs..if your trying to have a better ride just make sure you get nice shocks and you'll be fine

Cut the springs or remove them. Your call will be slammed!

GC (Ground Control) coilovers, I've seen a few good looking 5th gens slammed on them.

Edit: reading owns me, Tein-S gives a nice drop.

- her last car was in the dirt, **** was tight... (4dr civic) she liked it too
- her civic had sprint springs, which I cut 2 or 3 coils off
- if I go with coilovers, they will be full coilovers, not just sleeves...
- I'll probably just go with some springs (neuspeed or h&r).. **** it

Nope, not that I know of.

Eibach springs are made by Neuspeed though.

dont just get springs. If you slam the **** out of the car, im willing to bet your stock shocks wont last very long.

Just get some D2 coilovers or something. Or a good spring and shock combo. Having a lowered car is hard enough. Slammed and my car would have been dead long ago.

Sorry, we make our own springs. Neuspeed does not manuf. springs.

We do not make Skunk springs.

Question, since when did Eibach begin making springs? I remember seeing "Neuspeed" on GCs. How long have you been a sponsor?

lower drops does not mean better handling.

it does help, but when your camber angle and everything is soo damn off that you have only part of your tire on the ground, you will be handling worse than a stock car. that is like taking a car and running it on 155/50/15's or something like that. maybe even worse.

get a good suspension and get it aligned. toe angle that is completely off will eat ur tires alive. camber that is off will eat one of the tires side.

give it a 3 inch drop and i hope your tires rub against your tire well and i hope speedbumps eat your oil pan alive. eventually, you will grind enough against it where a hole will happen. no oil=beautiful engine.

im not flaming, just go and search and read up in the suspension forums. GC's make amazing coilovers. i have not heard much about skunk2's but people seem to be running them and liking them.

hrmm, maybe youve had little friends tell you that gc's suck, but i wonder why people have been running koni yellows with GC's. that is also coming from a lot of autoXers. custom spring rates + revalved koni yellows=amazing?

those wheels are ugly, and so are the useless decals. who cares if you got an AEM intake ? dont need to tell the whole damn planet. Also, nice red painted calipers

To original poster, please do a little research before you slam your girlfriends car. Eibach prokits are a nice clean drop and leave about a 2 finger gap all the way around.
